As a part of the roadmap to change Ethereum’s transaction fee system and prepare for the release of Ethereum 2.0, the long-awaited London hard fork expects to take place on Aug. 5 starting from 11:00AM UTC* (see countdown here) — with block 12,965,000.
Deposits and withdrawals of ETH and ERC-20 USDT will be briefly suspended before and during the upgrade. Users should consider adding margin beforehand to avoid liquidation risks.
Bybit will determine the exact duration for deposit and withdrawal suspension based on the speed of the network. Other activities, including asset exchange and trading of ETH and USDT, will not be impacted.
Deposits and withdrawals for ETH and ERC-20 USDT will resume once the upgraded networks are deemed stable, and will not be the subject of a further announcement.
